Torqueo Ardesia Exclusive

Oscar and Davide Di Tillio design and build their beautiful turntables in Pescara, Italy. Artisanal approach to creating a modern turntable on the idler-drive principle featuring noble materials, CAD design with precision tolerances, and traditional cabinetry methods. All tables are built around the same motor/drive design save the B-12GH Exclusive which adds 78 rpm and a slightly different control linkage. Tables are made in a full size plinth design with integrated tonearm base and some models can be ordered as a compact plinth (designated ‘C’) that is designed to use the outboard Pilastro tonearm base(s).

Speeds: 33â…“ and 45 rpm
Motor: External-rotor PAPST hysteresis synchronous motor, adapted and damped for ultra-low vibration
Plinth construction:
Ardesia (natural slate) top layer
High-mass composite plinth using dense hardwoods and plywood, with constrained-layer damping and viscoelastic elements to control resonance

Mechanics:
CNC-machined bronze, stainless steel, brass and aluminium parts with very tight tolerances
High-mass bearing and platter system designed for near-silent rotation
Tonearm mounting: Universal arm mounting system designed to accommodate a wide range of classic and contemporary tonearms; main arm base in the Exclusive series is a 40 mm sandwich of bronze and aluminium
Power supply: External PSU included; compatible with Torqueo “Controllo” motor controller for fine speed adjustment (optional)
Mat: Supplied with Cu-2900 copper platter mat
