Description
The Voxativ Andagio is the newest and most technically advanced loudspeaker in Voxativ’s current catalogue, introduced at High End Munich 2024 with the AC-X field coil driver — a driver developed to extend the performance envelope beyond what the AC-1.9 in the Ampeggio achieves. The Andagio represents Voxativ founder Inês Adler’s most current thinking on field coil driver design, enclosure loading, and the relationship between the energiser power supply and the driver’s sonic character.
The AC-X driver’s development focuses on achieving greater dynamic range and lower distortion at both ends of the frequency spectrum without altering the fundamental character that makes Voxativ’s field coil designs so distinctive. The Andagio’s enclosure is designed around the specific parameters of the AC-X — a purpose-built loading structure rather than an adaptation of an existing cabinet — and the result is a loudspeaker whose bass extension and dynamic authority represent a clear step forward from the Ampeggio.
