Description
The Voxativ T-805 is an integrated amplifier built around the 805 triode output tube — a large-plate, directly heated triode with a long history in high-power single-ended amplifier design. Voxativ’s approach to the 805 circuit prioritises the simplest possible signal path: a single-ended topology with transformer coupling and the minimum number of gain stages necessary to drive the output tube to full rated power, preserving the harmonic character of the triode in its purest form.
The T-805 is designed first and foremost for use with Voxativ’s own high-sensitivity loudspeakers — the Ampeggio, Alberich², and Hagen² families — where the output power available from a single 805 tube is sufficient to fill any domestic listening room. The synergy between a single-ended 805 amplifier and a high-efficiency, crossoverless field coil loudspeaker is perhaps the most direct and tonally honest amplifier-loudspeaker relationship available in contemporary audio: both components are optimised for simplicity, transparency, and harmonic truth.
The T-805 has been featured by The Absolute Sound in the context of Voxativ’s field coil loudspeaker demonstrations, and has been shown as a centrepiece system at High End Munich 2024 alongside the Andagio field coil speaker. The chassis reflects Voxativ’s Berlin-based design ethos: uncompromising, visually distinctive, and built to a standard of fit and finish that matches the ambitions of the circuit it houses.
