The Talea™ is Joël-François Durand’s original statement tonearm, created to combine the musicality of a fine instrument with the precision of modern engineering. Its hand-finished Bolivian rosewood armwand, unipivot bearing and carefully tuned mass distribution are all voiced by ear, giving the arm a fluid, natural presentation with exceptional tonal colour and microdetail.

Practical setup is just as refined. The Talea™ offers finely graduated, on-the-fly adjustment of VTA and azimuth, plus a clever cartridge plate system that makes alignment and cartridge changes straightforward. With a 10.35 inch effective length that mounts in roughly the space of a 9 inch arm, it can be used on a wide range of high-end turntables while delivering superb tracking and geometry.of the design, with the tonearm’s centre of mass aligned in the same plane as the bearing for ideal dynamic balance. On-the-fly azimuth adjustment, fine VTA via threaded collar, defeatable anti-skate and a DIN connector in the base give the KAIROS the setup flexibility demanded in high-end analogue systems while keeping the construction elegantly simple.
