J. Sikora KV12 Tonearm
The J.Sikora KV12 is a 12-inch, oil-damped unipivot tonearm with an effective length of 304.8 mm and an effective mass of 13 g. Build and finish are impeccable. It features a flat metal headshell with elongated slots that make cartridge alignment straightforward. The arm tube is made of Kevlar, the first time this material has been used in a tonearm, and it is coupled to carefully selected metal elements including aluminium, cast iron, bronze and stainless steel.
Internal wiring is a single run of custom mono-crystal silver, made by renowned Polish manufacturer Albedo, running continuously from the cartridge pins to the RCA connectors. The KV12 comes with two counterweights: a main weight positioned close to the pivot, which allows precise azimuth adjustment via a single, easily accessible screw, and an additional lighter or heavier weight in the box to match a wide range of cartridges. This arrangement enables super-precise VTF setting. Anti-skating is handled by a simple, ultra-light weight on a thread, fully sufficient for this design. The arm also offers on-the-fly VTA adjustment.
